Professional Roofing in Philadelphia, PA you can rely on. From minor roof repairs to full replacements, we ensure strong, long-lasting protection for residential and commercial properties.
Philadelphia homeowners deal with some of the toughest roofing conditions on the East Coast: brutal winters, humid summers, and storms that test every weak point a roof has. Murphy Roofing has been protecting Philadelphia homes with quality installations, honest repairs, and dependable service that neighbors recommend to neighbors.
Whether your home is a South Philly rowhouse or a detached colonial in the Northeast, Murphy Roofing brings the same level of care and skill to every job.
A new roof in Philadelphia needs to be built for this city’s climate, not a generic spec from a manufacturer’s brochure. Murphy Roofing assesses your home’s structure, sun exposure, and ventilation before recommending materials, so your new roof performs as well in year fifteen as it does on installation day.
Philadelphia’s older housing stock means many roofs are well past their prime. Murphy Roofing handles full replacements from tear-off to final ridge cap, inspecting the deck for hidden damage, correcting ventilation issues, and installing a new system built to outlast the one it replaced.
Philadelphia storms create specific repair patterns: wind-lifted ridge caps, flashing failures at brick walls, and valley leaks that show up inside ceilings weeks after the rain stops. Murphy Roofing traces every leak to its actual source before touching a shingle, so repairs hold up instead of just buying time.
Murphy Roofing’s Philadelphia inspections go beyond a visual scan from the driveway. We get on the roof, check every transition and penetration, and deliver a written report with photos that gives you an accurate picture of your roof’s condition and remaining life.
Philadelphia’s flat-roof rowhouses and commercial buildings benefit enormously from professional coating. Murphy Roofing preps the surface properly, seals seams and cracks, and applies a coating rated for Pennsylvania’s temperature extremes extending roof life at a fraction of replacement cost.
When a Philadelphia storm leaves your roof exposed, Murphy Roofing responds fast to stop water intrusion before it spreads through your home. We arrive prepared for structural damage, not just surface repairs, and document everything your insurance claim needs.
Murphy Roofing installs and replaces siding across Philadelphia with the same attention to water management that drives our roofing work. We inspect the substrate, update the moisture barrier, and install materials that handle Philadelphia weather for the long term.

Initially, I contacted Murphy's in early December 2025 because an ice dam had backed up my gutter, allowing water to enter my second-floor guest room. In January, I spoke with someone by phone about scheduling the necessary repairs. I do not have the original work request because it was communicated verbally. Eventually, I received an estimate and agreed to the price. However, I later noticed that, in the fine print, the work location had been changed to the front porch—a repair I had never requested or even inquired about. My concern was the water damage inside my home. After that, communication stopped. I never heard back from Murphy's and assumed no work had been performed. In June 2026, I unexpectedly received a call stating that I had an outstanding balance. I had no reason to believe any work had been completed. There was no evidence on my Ring camera that a crew had ever come to my home, I never received an invoice until that phone call, and no one contacted me to confirm the work had been completed or to follow up on the quality of the service. When I requested photos of the completed work to confirm they had completed the 2nd floor roof, but they didn't have any pictures from January when they allegedly came out to do the repair. Someone from Murphy's came in July 2026 to capture photos after my request, which only reinforced my concern that there was no documentation of the supposed completed work. Overall, the lack of communication, delayed paperwork, and billing for work I had no reason to believe was ever completed made this a very frustrating experience. Murphy's even offered to come back, now, and review the 2nd floor roof - I declined, of course. First photo shows where they chose to work. 2nd Photo shows where I THOUGHT they were going to work.Posted on Google Amanda NeuberTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Their quote to do the job was honest and fair, they completed the job efficiently and on time and they treated me with kindness and respect, not at all like the other roofers who saw me as a woman to be taken advantage of and overcharged. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.Posted on Google Megan HansonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had the pleasure of working with Murphy Roofing after discovering a leak in our bedroom ceiling which required a whole new roof. From the initial consultation to the completion of the job, their team was professional, responsive, and incredibly efficient. They provided prompt service, finishing the roof in about a day and a half, which was faster than expected. The crew was courteous and kept the area clean. What really stood out was their fair and reasonable pricing. I highly recommend Murphy Roofing to anyone in need of reliable and high-quality service!Posted on Google Karen TotonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We got our kitchen done in February 2023 and had no issues. In October, we were told by our insurance company that we needed a new roof. So we went with a neighborhood company with Murphy. After they replaced the roof, we started noticing a stain by a window. We notified them multiple times and they kept sending people, but the problem persisted. We started noticing a leak in the ceiling by the sink. We told them multiple times about the leak, they kept sending people but the problem persisted. The last weekend in December, we went to the office about the leak. An older man called someone, yelled at them and told them to come look at the roof. Someone came and we thought the problem was finally fixed. The first big rain we got 1/9/2024, we came home to a hole in the ceiling, water dripping, and the water ran all the way to the opposite wall. Now we will probably have to find someone to redo the roof and fix all the drywall because Murphy’s work is terrible. STAY AWAY!!!
